AND, some of us might think that it would be nicer to raise the minimum wage so that working people don't have to go eat at churches on "poor night". What happens - I'm sure people aren't standing around asking for pay stubs before someone can eat?
Can't afford to raise the minimum wage? Well, maybe some jobs shouldn't be done. Maybe some are just not worth doing, if there isn't enough to pay an adult human being the minimum wage.
Probably a difference between a conservative and a liberal. I'd rather pay the person than make them show up for charity.
And, what you did was good. Please don't misunderstand. I think there may be better ways to do the same thing.
