Trent Lott said an incredibly stupid thing that suggested he favored racial segregation. In the end, he was forced to resign as majority leader. Rightfully so, IMO. Stupidy should be painful.
It sounds to me like Senator Murray has said an incredibly stupid thing that suggests she is endorsing the policies of Osama bin Laden, which include terrorism and the subordination of women. Seriously, as OpinionJournal pointed out, who would need "day care centers" in a country where women were forced to stay in their homes?
Will there be a firestorm of protest against Senator Murray for her incredibly stupid comments? Will pigs sprout wings and start flying?
