One thing that drew me to Reagan was his clearly stated ideas on privatizing Social Security.
As a young person in 1980, I was aware that Social Security was a Ponzi Scam and my generation was at the "bottom of the pyramid"
His position on the issue resonated with me like socialized medicine does with liberals.
As an aside, I haven't given too much thought to healthcare in America but things are so out of whack something has to change. I have a friend who just got out of the hospital after being treated for pneumonia for three weeks. No expensive diagnostics, No transplant, no bypass, no chemo...no insurance.
