...and Clinton told the intelligence agencies to "back off" on their investigations into the bin Ladens, and others, how many times?

And who was president when those same bin Ladens were spirited out of the United States in the days after 911, after their relative Osama had already been identified as the mastermind behind the terrorist attack on the WTC?

His name wasn't William Jefferson Clinton.

And how long did President Clinton sit listening to pet goat stories while the nation was under attack?

Some people have seized upon the clever but completely transparent and by now entirely shopworn expedient of blaming everything bad which happens in or to the United States on former President Clinton.

It's a one-note chorus from the right-wing rabble which rushes to fill the available cranial vacuums and attempts to drown out any reasoned contemplations about these difficult issues.

I conclude with these words of caution: before you try to make political hay out of 911, you better make sure which way the pitchfork points.
