There is a HUGE difference between the American revolution and the situation in Iraq.
Big, huge, enormous, colossal, mammoth difference.
America was a young country with plenty of room and resources o spread out. We were being taxed by Britain, but they were not starving us, killing us, torching us. We were armed, well fed and an ocean away from those we were at war with.
It is a different story when your oppressors are there with you and they keep you under nourished, unarmed in total fear.
