Hmmm.
Does EU as a whole import a greater percentage of oil from Mid-East than US?
And there is always Russia....
The Mid-East has comparitively little military power.
If there were no US and we suddenly had to takecare of ourselves you can bet we'd be ramping up production of Tornados, Mirages etc, etc, not to mention UK + France's nuclear capabilities.
After the world economy collapsed - who would be buying all that oil from Mid East if not US - things would eventually return to normal.
Ties between EU and Russia would take on a new and interesting light.....
But life can exist without y'all.
