Not the whole story

If you are asking me to believe that security guards stopped these two people for wearing a certain T-shirt while they quietly shopped, I'm not buying it. I have seen much worse things that "Peace on Earth" on shirts at my local malls, and nobody blinked an eye.

My call on this is that the two were raising a stink of some kind, but since that is almost impossible to prove in court, the mall is throwing in the towel. The security guards would have assumed that once the two left the mall, that was the end of it. None of the guards would have corralled witnesses, gotten names and addresses, and arranged their defense. When it all hit the fan, how the heck would they have located witnesses at all, unless they got lucky and one of the witnesses worked there?

I was impressed by their ability to raise a 100-person protest in two days. A cynical type might think that this was a setup from the start. I don't know if organizer Erin O'Brien is a pro in that department--there are apparently an astonishing number of Erin O'Briens in the protest movement, and I can't nail down which one this is.
