Protesters as Psychological Studies.

Protesters need validation. They feel empowered by gathering in groups and screaming and shouting how awful something is.

Sure for every person who finds protests ineffective, immature and hostile yopu will find countless others who fall in line and scream and shout.

Insecurity and the need for self-validation will naturally create such statistics. Finding well-balanced, mature adults who can express their views intelligently without trying to coerce or shout down is much more difficult than one thinks.

Kids "protesting" recently looted a store in LA. Protesters get a vicarious thrill of doing things which are frowned upon. However when they are in groups they feel much more confident to go ahead and do things rational people don't do.

Riots are a great example. Protesters are one step short of the mentality that riots and is violent towards others person and property. THe mirror principle in action shows that if you want to find the hostile, imbalanced or childlike people in the world - go to a "peace" protest.

Sorry, but my white horse is all I ride these days.
