You're right LJ, and I've said the same several times here in the past.
We could end up like Israel, with marketplace bombers et al right here at home.

Somewhere the violence HAS to stop, and negotiations and accords need to be created.
You just can't throw them out the window and become the biggest bully on the block and come out guns ablazing. Because that CREATES more enmity.
And you can't steal someone's resources and try and sell it back to them.
And you can't use extortion or bribes to get people to go along with you.

No, this new trend looks like it will be around awhile.
I guess it will only be when we've had a good enough scare, or enough of the killing.
I don't see "peace" worldwide anytime soon.

As a matter of fact, Bush will be known as the war president who wants to tame the world (don't worry, he has his God on his side and half of America is "praying" for him), and CNN should just be called the Terror Network. I mean after this Operation Iraqi Freedom, where else can it's ratings go but down the tubes?
No, Americans will DEMAND more violence, until they've had so much of it they'll begin to throw it up.
