How nice to have validation of position from Rush Limburger and his limburger heads.....this gives the smell of legitimacy. I mean it certainly follows that the assumption that it is only the left that is anti-war. Just as it certainly follows that only those that are anti-war are politically on the left.
After all, I know this because you have said it so often. And Rush reinforces you. Certainly this is what Martin Luther had in mind with his "priesthood of all believers."
The left is just doing what it has always done--searching for ways to advance the cause of individual liberty and opportunity. Liberals are flexing and stretching their collective mental and moral muscles as Mill suggested and trying to understand how this exercise can be extended to the rest of the world.
The only argument is over if this can be done not at the end of a barrel of a gun.
Chairman Bush has the gun and has demonstrated his willingness to use it. Now it remains to be seen what he can do with what was won.
And I feel almost quilty in mentioning that none of Duhbya's originally stated objectives have been met, yet. We have yet to locate all those "smoking guns," and we don't yet have Saddam, his boys, Bin-Laden, Sheik Omar, ad nauseum.
Assuming the above is accomplished shortly there will still be no success until a secular, democratic form of government is established and accepted by the Iraqi people. This will not be easily accomplished and I wish this administration all the best in making it so.
In spite of my good wishes, this does not mean I either like or support Bush in other matters. But up until homeland security this was my right.
