Agreed,
It's practically impossible to imagine what AI could achieve. It should enjoy far more freedom than we ever had (in time and space), expand its database while at the same time have somewhere stored all the knowledge acquired by mankind (like the internet compared to books, only, exponentially more). Concepts like colonies might become irrelevant as these are confined in a specific time and place frame, while our successors could embrace much more, if they have the explorer "urge" aand also other human needs plus needs specific to their capacities.
