Clinton's cuts
When Clinton took office he inherited a $300B annual budget deficit. Working with Congress in enacting strong fiscal discipline, he brought that to a real (not counting the SS fund) surplus HIS LAST YEAR IN OFFICE. Once there was a surplus he proposed a budget increase for NASA. Bush has taken office and there is still a surplus, albeit a shrinking one, and he immediately starts cutting everything in sight at NASA. While I support many of those cuts, it just kills me that Europa might be axed. There is no place more interesting in the solar system as far as I'm concerned. At least Clinton never cut that.
