Dealing with a superior intelligence. (RANT/LONG)

Love those headlines, nevermind the details, right?

The whole premise of the headline that supposedly supports
this "planet X" theory is based upon the information contained
within that is convienently swept under the carpet.

We've all seen this kind of stuff before and some have bought in
to it, like SIME and myself. I thought Velikovsky was the best,
most revolutionary author ever. Then you start to notice little
things like the lack of distinction being made between hydrocarbons
and carbohydrates. Then big stuff like how can you dynamically
reconcile the passage of Venus so close to Earth and then end up
in a near perfectly circular orbit. Sure it's possible, but it's less
probable than going to vegas with a nickel and coming home with
millions and no broken kneecaps.

In the end it comes down to a question of conciet and pride.

Are you willing to examine your motives without blinders? Why do
you NEED this to be so? Are you so desperate that you require that
all science be grossly in error to vindicate the theories you support.

I'll tell you what I think. It just comes down to the fact that you
think that you are smarter, more capable, and more able to realize
truth than us other schmucks that don't deign to fall over each
other agreeing with you in a resounding chorus.

You dont think you need to expose yourself to proven ideas about
the way things work in our pocket of reality because you have youself convinced that you've come from Zeuses head with an emperical truth
detector built in.

For example, how can a human brain have a gut feeling for what happens when two large bodies like Earth and NorthWind ( that
really is a cool name for a moon ) collide with a relative velocity of
tens of kilometers per second. This isn't billards or throwing a mug to
the ground. You simplify untill the solution is mathmatically tractable
then solve with the imperfections of the method in mind.

At least, thats what us mortals have to do.

So at this point, I guess you have a choice.

You can keep spamming this board with your little tidbits, knowing fullwell that nonsense such as "the fair moon northwind" will recieve
no praise or even rational discourse, just drawing mockery. Not that
this is at all unique in human history. What neighborhood doesn't
have it's street preacher proclaiming "the end is near, renounce your
faulty science, sinners!"

You can move on to calmer waters and discuss these topics with
likeminded people all in agreement, no sharks, just guppies and
mollies sucking scum from the rocks.

Or, you can always conform to the standards of the board. I realize
how unappealing this option is and how mundane it is to come
down to our boring reality when on your level, there are well defined
alien groups treating Earth like the setting of a soap opera. But this would require ditching your obvious scientific ignorance and learning
the local language, so to speak.

But it's always easier to assume that the unintelligible gibberish of
the locals is meaningless.

As "diPshit" pointed out to me, this is an open forum. The choice is
yours.
