This is a natural cyclical event which, by the nature of a cycle, it repeats. So this has occured many times before and will continue to do so. The world has not ended before so why should it now? The big event causes a polar shift in the axis of the Earth tearing up it's surface. Lurk the sci.astro debates regarding this topic for scientific evidence. This topic is nothing new. Zacharia Sitchen has been trying to relate his work to science for many years but few dare to go beyond the ostrich's head-in-the-sand approach.
