Cheesy workaround...

I've never had that problem. Used to have a problem with escape key deleting entire screen but that got fixed. If this is happening to you a lot, would recommend grabbing the text and hitting "copy" before you hit the post button. That way if it disappears, you can open a new window, paste it in, and try again.
