Hi Guys
While I agree with Tom Brosz on nuke safety I can half-see the point of Bruce Gagnon's "concerns" [too mild a phrase for paranoic fantasies?] NASA and nukes in space make sense to all of us who can see peaceful uses for nukes, but the anti-nuke types only see weapons implications and dread the thought of wasteful "Star Wars" style ABM programs that will very likely be easily foxed by cruise-missiles and/or metallised balloons and chaff.
Space NEEDS nukes, but there are a lot of nervous people out there who only imagine orbital laser-weapons.
But let's cut the crap... the DoD could develop space nukes if it really wanted to, and I'd say GWB would forge ahead with a space-laser program if it could win votes. Space doesn't need the paranoic fantasies from either side - hawks or doves.
