>>If the true eco-nuts knew what they were doing they would be clamoring for us to exploit space! Power free from orbiting collectors means no more nuke and coal plants.
I'm not sure if I qualify as a "true" eco-nut or if I'm just a dilettante, but I like solar power from space. If done prudently. To me prudence means you try it out on a small scale to see if it's really as safe as the develope-anything-and-everything-no-matter-the-cost crowd claims.
>>>Recources from asteroids means no more mining... (yeah we need to get costs down before that happens...but it will), these morons need to see the big picture... but they never educate themselves so that they can, instead they just adhere to dogma and complain...
I'm not that excited about asteroid mining because I don't see it happening in my lifetime. This is an issue for my great-grandkids to worry about. Again: prudence. How do you get the resources to earth? How much material is coming in this way per day? Are unfortunate local or global effects caused when you do it? If it's safe, of course I am for it.
>>>If there is ice on the moon we should budget it out of practicality, but we should be, and could be by now, all over the moon! Lets take it now, in the future it will be a great investment!
I'm with you: we should never have left the moon.
