And as you know, Larry, some other folks who also do this for a living AND SPECIFICALLY earned that living by analysing solutions to this problem also disagree with you...

When you get down to 100 meters or so, lunar resources may be the best way to give at least some warning of the impact of a city killer whose impact could also either start either a nuclear war or trigger a nuclear reactor meltdown -
