We discussed months ago about a gigantic landslide in La Palma that could send a 650 m high tidal wave towards west! Also, a potential catastrophe.
About the Moon: well, there it is possible to do something that cannot be easily achieved on our way to Mars and might be of little interest once on Mars:
Tourists could indeed go to the Moon farside when it also is the darkside Wait a few minutes, turn all lights of the Moonbus off and.....stars, billions of stars become visible.
I've always wondered if there's a difference in depth perception between a totally black sky (which the astronauts are almost all the time confronted with) and a sky full of stars.
Frankly, I'm not too enthusiastic with a 6 months long trip with nothing to see out there, not even the Earth after maybe less than a month of travel.
Jack Schmitt did stress how difficult it is for us to properly represent ourselves what a totally black sky really is.
