Unfortunately this scheme would involve an environmental impact statement so huge, that printing it will use up enough trees to totally screw up the ecosystem.
Side effects might include multi-million mile thunderbolts, dispersion of the Van Allen Belts, lighting up the Moon like a light bulb in Uncle Fester's mouth, or electromagnetically sucking Mars into the Pacific basin.
Safe nuclear power programs would seem to be an easier way to go.
The earth, and the sun, have been stable--at least within margins enough to support biology--for billions of years. I see no reason that this will change enough to become lethal barring some unprecedented catastrophe.
