No serious scientist or engineer is claiming global warming is real because a computer model says it is so. This is a bullshit comment Larry. I have never made such a claim or seen such from climate modelers. I have however, repeatedly discussed both evaluating relative risk in the face of uncertainty and what constitutes a good match in the face of large natural variability. You have avoided both these key issues and that common sense without any computer model suggests that increasing levels of a greenhouse gas will cause global warming.
Using a lack of validation of a computer model as an excuse to avoid addressing a common sense based concern has nothing to do with scientific rigor and everything to do with supporting the objective of spending no money on the issue. That is a political and economic objective not a scientific one.
When you want a scientific/technical debate address the yes or no technical questions I asked at the link provided above or describe what scientific basis do you have for claiming increasing levels of a greenhouse gas will not cause global warming?

Mark
