Space/Science

This is a marvelous breakthrough; and it has space applications!~

Could somebody find the URL for this scientific breakthrough, please?

Watching TV this morning [CNN], I noticed a news story threaded across
the bottom of the screen.
The gist is...
Some scientists have announced the successful creation of a "radiation" blocking fabric that is as good or better than lead-lined material [like that worn by X-Ray technicians].

The space applications? Legion.

If the claims for this fabric hold up
[no pun intended], and it even proves useful in a "gamma-ray" and "slow-neutron" environment, than it will
almost certainly end up being used
to "radiation insulate" delicate electronics onboard spacecraft [including spaceprobes to the radiation-intense evironment around Jupiter].

What about uses for astronauts? This new, [possibly] revolutionary radiation-shielding fabric, which would undoubtedly be a lot lighter than lead,
may save astronaut lives during solar-flares, or unexpected nearby supernova emissions, GRB's, cosmic rays, etc.
I think we'll hear a lot more about this fabric in years to come.

cheers.
