Gamma could be reduced by just over 1/2 percent, and would require several shields to bring a powerful source down to a manageable level (i.e., continually halving the radiation). Background gamma can even be read through the planet Earth. The level is extremely low, but it is there.
The new suit appears to be just what the doctor ordered -- as far as Larry's missus is concerned.
