Comment On The Moon
By the way I'd like to see us return to the Moon and build a permanent base there, but that option has already been rejected by the public. They have never seen NASA or an administration push an affordable Manned Mars program only an exhorbitantly costly one with a Moon first prerequisite (again rejected).
I want to go to the Moon for the Moon's sake and Mars for Mars sake, but don't believe the Moon is needed to get to Mars or that the public will support a return to the Moon alone or as part of a humongously expensive Mars program.
I sincerely hope private interprize makes it to LEO and the Moon.
