Thanks for explaining yourself Nick. Not quite the explanation I thought you would give -- but fine nevertheless.
If I had said something on this BBS like Levin conceded his position about life on Mars and "was coming round" to the oxidant hypohesis, everyone one here would want to know about it and for me to explain it. Such a radical departure from ones own views after 27 years would require some explanation.
Your CO2 theory is really only supported by a few other scientists and when you say a long time water on Mars-supporter is coming round to your CO2 theory I have every right to ask you about it.
Alex flew off the handle in a self-rightous flurry of disrespect and insulted Levin and I professionally. I responded in kind.
Science is not telling people what they want to hear, rather it is about disclosing the truth about nature - not matter how painful that truth may be to some.
For the record Nick, I did not call you a liar as insinuated by some of the immature trouble-makers here on this BBS. I did want to hear your explanantion of the Carr paper in light of what you said on this BBS earilier about him supporting your work.
As far as other professionals go that seem to be only posting on a variety of space and science bbs's, perhaps they should instead be writing their scientific papers and abstracts to build a resume.
