In other words, Greenpeace has political power, but no responsibility. Sounds like quite a deal.
At what point did responsibility and profit get linked in some way? Does this mean I can burn down a school if I do it for free, and don't take out insurance on it first?
The Alar scare was pure horseshit from the bottom up, and it cost farmers money and in some cases their farms. It cost a corporation millions too, but as we all know, they are all evil bastards who deserve to die anyway.
The bioengineered food scares are largely baseless as well, and this is going to cost lives. Maybe millions of them.
At what point does an "environmental warning" become yelling "fire" in a crowded theater?
But being an environmentalist apparently means never having to say you're sorry, and it means you can screw up anything you want without consequences.
