Well, in a few months, we'll have to shift into the Euro currency.
I went on vacation to France with all the cah I had left in french francs and my Visa card. I used the Visa card systematically for all expenses, except for bottles of water AND paying the hotel bill (partly). I asked the hotel manager if I could give all the cash and pay the rest with Visa. No problem.
True, the Visa card is a good way to see where you've been and how much you've spent and when, but that's no problem either.
Apparently, coins have pre-existed notes for ages (notes exist since the 18th Century) and those coins are so heavy and are not worth that much. When will we get rid of them? Could take a while.
