He makes a valid argument, but
Yes we do preach democracy, democracy, democracy, while at the same time supporting dictators...
The problem is what else are we to do when such a democracy would immediatly vote in a Islamic extreemist dictator who would be much worse than the current dictator.
Actually, I hope we do install a democracy in Afganistan. It won't be easy, and we may need to overthrow elected tyrants 2 or three times, but eventually they will get it right and democracy will flourish in the region. Or maybe it won't, but at least we will have tried.
