Where's the problem? Bush ISN'T courageous for going to a World Series game and GW didn't develop a brain as the result of September 11.
The need to see all the world, as does GW and do the people who regard any disagreement with him as treason, as completely black and white, as utterly "us versus them", is kinda charming in kindergartners.
Most minds develop an ability to discriminate, to see the merit in a variety of viewpoints, and to realize the world is not black or white, or even various shades of gray, but a rainbow (not Jesse Jackson's). I think that's one aspect of "education", but many folks regard that as a completely vocational process.
It takes some of the jingoistic types longer to do that, though, and some never make it. All one can do is wait and see how they sort themselves out.
