There are times when decisions must be made quickly. "to see the merit in a variety of viewpoints, and to realize the world is not black or white, or even various shades of gray, but a rainbow" is admirable but does not help in making a quick decision. Military leaders, Business managers, Corporate Executives and even Housewives are faced with situations requiring instant action without the luxury of seeing the rainbow.
Bush has been criticized for seeing only black and white. It wasn't that long ago he was strongly criticized for being too "middle of the road" for his decision on stem cell research. I think he saw the rainbow there.
It was someone here that said we were lucky that Clinton wasn't President Sept 11 because he wouldn't have been able to take the action that our country needed. I wonder if Clinton saw through a kaleidoscope.
