Every action they take seems deliberately designed to goad Israel into a genocidal rage. Deliberate murder of women and children. Bombing churches. Blowing up malls. What's the point? What's the plan? What's the endgame here?
Something here doesn't add up. If the Palestinians were trying to make themselves into pariahs, they couldn't be doing a better job of it.
In my opinion, the obvious approach for Palestinians to take over the long run is a program of Ghandi/Martin Luther King nonviolent protests. Marches with signs, protests, sit-ins, the whole 1960s ball of wax.
No bombs.
No assassinations.
No violence.
Suddenly, all the sympathy would be with the Palestinians. Most of the world WANTS them to have their own state, and it's their own bloody-mindedness getting in the way. What would they have to lose by trying this approach?
