Tennassee or the reporter?
Probably both, dumb and dumber. I felt no need to spell it out for this group but a reporter should have pointed out the error. I found it very offensive.
The make up of various successes and failures in colonization is interesting. Colonies consisting of sailors, neer do wells and bonded people frequently failed. Successful colonies were likely to consist of men of substance, fully trained craftsmen, and ladies of good family. Of course they were followed by all of the above with good results.
