Most non-religious folks are.
I have no problem with sex education or discussion of condoms and birth control. However - I would like to see that those who teach these classes are themselves not a bit "pervy" I recall my sex-ed teachers clearly had some definite hang-ups and used the class as a soapbox for their own agenda's (beside making improper jokes about the size of whale's genitalia)
I do not feel that birth control should be a "you go girl!" or "you go dude!" encouragement as a free-for-all late sixties era "Love-in" - but it should be available freely and readily to all who may need it.
An opinion I have held for years is that our defense budget should be financing prophylactics and dropping them in big crates by B52's all over the third world.
It would be money well spent - because it is in our (and their) best interests to keep their populations lower.
Of course, that's not something the Pope would smile upon - nor all the Catholics and others who view sex in a pure reproductive capacity. Unfortunately, since almost none of these folks are having sex to reproduce - prohibiting birth is not a sin...and letting a birth result, should really be the SIN!
Take care Mary Anne!
