What could they do that the Israeli Army isn't already doing?
How long would it be before they're seen as the enemy by both sides? The NATO force in the Balkans was a non-starter until the US kicked in our troops. Without us, NATO lacks much in the way of transport. I saw something recently that was sobering. The EU and GB identied about 110 missions that a European military force should be able to accomplish. However, there were 55 missions that they couldn't perform without US assistance. Without the US, NATO is something of a paper tiger.
