And if the UN should attempt to settle Israel and Palestine at some table, or attempt to bring the murdering factions to justice, but fail, what then? Revamp the UN?

Unlikely.

You are right, though. This is the time for the UN to step into the ring, and we’ll see just how they’ll fare. Before all is said and done, I fear that Imperial America might need to step in, brining with it some horrific form of swift, all-consuming, irresistible submission, probably in the form of absolute restrictions, door-to-door searches, light missile flights, and the constant demand for documentation at every corner:

“May I see your papers?”

Retribution will be demanded as well, from followers of both sides -- here at home, as well as within the very ranks of the US Militaries. It wouldn’t all be as bad as it sounds, but it would still be bad.

Dunno that the planet -- or the nation -- is quite ready for that,
