Sharon belongs on the fat end of a noose, Arafat has the Nobel Prize for Peace. Both of those may be overstatements, and both are more or less true.

I truly believe the root of the problem is Israels continual, drip, drip, drip of civil rights abuses and their encroachment upon Palestinian land. And when the Palestinians protest, the Israelis scream "terrorism"!!

Americans called it "peace" when the losses were 25 to 1. Like the Native Americans.

Nope, the Israelis started this years ago by not living up to their part of the agreements (either). Why didn't they stop the settlements? They have their religious right-wing, too. And, they kept building the settlements? Did the world listen to the Palestinians when they protested any other way? Nope.

The American media has perpetrated Israel as still the needy, abused and almost powerless nation it used to be. It isn't any more, needs to mature.
