<Bush, Abdullah mull Mideast peace

It sure looks as if US influence in the Mideast, the “war on terrorism” AND GWBs vendetta against Saddam may be sacrificed so that Israel can keep building illegal settlements on Palestinian land. Or at least make it much more difficult, cost much more money and take more time.

Who would have thought that the Israeli right-wing religious fanatics could cause the US so much trouble?

It’s a pretty good guess that if Israel had lived up to the peace treaty she signed the world wouldn’t be in this mess.

And if the US insisted on the Israelis living up to their agreements, we may not be here.

In fact, if GWB said something to Israel now besides “WITHDRAW FROM PALESTINIAN LANDS as soon as you feel like it” he might have some credibility with Arabs. But, he’s chosen to say “Get out!” with large, numerous winks, seen by everyone, fooling no one.

Whooda thunk? And it’s all so the Israelis can build illegal settlements.
