Bellesiles' no guns advocacy has been thouroughly discredited by mainstream historians. He blatently fabricated and made up the references. It's a major league academic scandal where faux scholars were victimized by "research" that supported their biases. The net is chock full of details on what he did and didn't do. To the credit of university academicians, they discovered and exposed this fraud.
