An investigation
Politicians (not just Democrats, although they're the experts) have a long history of trumping up some accusation and then calling for investigations based, not on real information, but on the "seriousness of the accusation." Each party tends to target the opposing party in this game, while creating excuses for why these witchhunt standards should not apply to their own party.
This is nothing but raw politics, and I don't think they're kidding anyone. It'll be something different in a week or so.
