If you think the release (or rather the leak) to CBS News of this "intel" (a top secret CIA briefing) at this particular time was not deliberately engineered by the Democrats, with the information probably coming straight from Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, then I've got a nice bridge to sell you.

This setup is so bloody obvious, that it's amazing that Gephardt can even discuss it with a straight face. "What did he know and when did he know it???" Cripes.

I agree that fighting an investigation would be counterproductive. But it's going to be a full-bore witch hunt.
