Re: Here are the only 2 facts I find relevant to the ‘current’ situation . . .

1. In 1948, the United Nations started a war in the Middle East by accepting the state of Israel.
2. It is up to the people of the world today to end this war as soon as possible.

Everything that went on between then and now amount to a pointless shouting match over who was the worst killer. A teetering assembly of fading and mythical beliefs that culminate in the quagmire we see on the tube today. Palestine found themselves on the losing end of a war, and so they have resorted (many say reverted) to the desperation of extreme-terror tactics -- known crimes against all humanity, acts many around the world simply wish to ignore -- while Israel bides her time, walking at will to any point in a nation not her own, there to exact a brand of justice that leaves many thundering about inhumane practices.

Even here on this board the fight goes on over who in the Middle East is right and who is wrong, when it is clear that neither side is right and both sides are wrong.

Even Holy Land that is Israel:
Israel is the Promised Land -- and promised by G-d. A promise that will see fruition in G-d’s own time, not ours. Shortsighted humans, however, have protested this and insist that G-d “meant” for Israel to exist for the Jews now, and so they took it upon themselves to right this divine wrong -- and all for the glory of G-d, of course.

What G-d has promised cannot be taken -- and yet they took anyway.

“Tomorrow, Israel.”
Seems such a shallow prayer these days.

That’s all there really is, Tom. A great wrong was committed by a misguided UN at the close of Colonial Europe, resulting in an even greater conflict, one which culminates in the pain and suffering of so many today -- and all for a spit of land on a mote of dust in an endless cosmos.

“Tomorrow, Israel?” I just don’t see it.
