Right, and British Mandate Palestine was to be primarily an Arab state with a tiny Jewish state

After the Arabs were given 3/4 of it as Jordan, what was left of the remaining 1/4 was to be split between Arabs and Jews. Even that tiny piece for the Jews was too much for the Arabs. They went to war instead to attempt to finish the job that Hitler started.

And I believe you're wrong about the lack of "Arab - Jews". I'm not sure how else I would classify the 600,000 - 800,000 Jews who were expelled out of Arab countries following the creation of the state of Israel.

My principal objection to the use of the term "Palestinian" is that it's most frequently used not to accurately designate all those who live, or once lived, in the region historically referred to as Palestine, but rather strictly applied to an Arab political movement and the specific community it represents.
