Aren't the Jews who lived in the territory for centuries "Palestinians"? What about the Arabs who immigrated from present day Egypt, Jordan (which was actually Palestine, too, until given to the Arabs as a nation - no Jews allowed), Syria, etc.? Are they equally "Palestinian"? What about all the non-Arab, non-Jewish minorities that came and went over the centuries? Are they Palestinians with an equal right to return?
Look, no matter how national borders are set, no matter who sets them, somebody somwhere is gonna be denied their "country". It was emminently fair, well to be totally accurate it wasn't any more unfair than what had been done throughout all human history, to set aside a tiny piece, less than 1% of the land in the Middle East, for a Jewish homeland. Good grief Arabs have 22 countries they can call their own, why should 100% of the nations and the land be "Arab" when Arabs aren't 100% of the people?
