Not that hard a logic problem
A: Gun control measures demonstrably fail to control crime.
B: Yet some people still believe that gun control is a good idea.
What conclusion am I supposed to arrive at about such people's thought processes? Either they are simply not thinking, or I am forced to conclude that gun control, to these people, has another goal besides controlling crime.
