"Yes apparently an few IDF soldiers killed a palestinian teenager in custody. Forget that the teenager was most likely a future suicide bomber,"
Oh, well. Kid may have grown up not liking the Israelis. Probably ought to kill 'em all. Would solve the problem, speed up the cleansing. Seems kind of blase to me.
(Might have been someone's kid. Might have had dreams, plans, maybe not much hope, though. May have been better off dead, huh? The IDF did the guy a favor, maybe. Family, well, they can be grateful. Kid probably went to heaven.)
Realistically, who would do the investigating? Israel has done everything it can to destroy and disrupt the Palestinian civil authority, including assassinating the leadership.
It has consistently rocketed police stations. Many of the people fighting the incursions into the West Bank have been those folks charged with protecting property, the police forces.
Getting serious for a second, do you expect the Israelis to let Palestinians interview the soldiers, conduct any sort of investigation even if they could?
Regarding the Israelis investigating, these are the same folks who "investigated" the shooting of that kid on international TV.
It's a bit like beating the dickens out of your kid, eyes swollen shut, burning his books, and then complaining at him for not studying for a test.
This is a bit like smashing a person's foot and then making fun of him because he doesn't run.
"Regardless of who is right or wrong on the land dispute, the DELIBERATE murder of children is criminal, barbaric, and inhuman. WHY THE HELL CAN'T YOU SEE THAT???"
I think I do. You don't. The Israelis kill a kid, and you aren't outraged at that. You are complaining because the Palestinians didn't investigate it. Did you notice that?
The Israelis, until the last 20 months, were killing 25 Palestinians for every Israeli who was dying. Many of those were kids. Many, many more Palestinian kids than Israeli kids. Any outrage?
Nope.
Frankly, I don't understand your post except it reflects the prevailing attitudes on these boards. I know you don't think my sympathies toward the Palestinians are reasonable. And from my point of view, a suicide bombing is a heinous crime, inflicting terrible pain and loss on innocent people. So is a helicopter rocket attack on civilian housing. Neither is "aimed" at children, though both kill children. On these boards one is considered awful, the other sort of like your attitude about the kid at the top of the post.
Oh, well.
