Whether scientifically approved or not, whether you say so or not, Jew equals a race of humans. Jew equals a religion AND a people. Israel is the land promised, by G-d, to the Jews.

And, I'm very, very critical of the way Israel conducts itself against the Palestinians. I'm critical of the country, the nation, and it's political leadership.



I'm not critical of the religion, the theology. If I were to adopt an organized religion, it would be Judaism. I belong to the local Jewish Community Center and have Jewish friends.





Won’t happen, but I actually think the world would be a much better place if there was more religious criticism. Israel was promised to the Jews by G-d. G-d has not yet “given” Israel to the Jews. The Jews are “taking” Israel from G-d, at the behest of the international community of nations, that being the UN.

I’m no theologist, but I don’t think there is an entry in the Torah that states G-d gave Israel to the Jews. My recollection is that the Jews were sent in search of it as the Promised Land. What does it say in the fine print of the contract with G-d, assuming the Promised Land should ever be found? And if the region currently known as Israel is actually THE Promised Land, are the Jews supposed to fight tooth and nail for it, or await the sanction of G-d?

Tongue in cheek -- to say the least -- but this is a literal interpretation of the Middle East crisis, and so long as the criticism remains in favor of Israel and the UN, and so long as the religious leaders of Israel -- these are religious leaders around the world, btw -- continue to teach that G-d “gave” Israel to the Jews, peace cannot win. It’s a small lie, but one that has far-reaching political ramifications, and has already cost thousands of lives.
