Slow down, guys!

Missed out on some great Mideast stuff, the Pledge, and other items. Rather than going and posting stuff on expired pages, a couple of comments here:

- If the Palestinians were awarded the entire Arabian Peninsula as an independent state tomorrow, and Israel kept its current borders, the Palestinians would still go out and blow up Israelis. The leadership and most Palestinians demand the extinction of Israel and the Jews, and until that changes, everything else is just hot air and window dressing.

- The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is a bucket of left-wing loonies who come up with something nutty like this about five times a year (try a search). No one pays any attention, as they usually get their heads handed to them by an appeal.

- If anyone actually paid attention to what the Constitution says, it prohibits the Federal Government (Congress) from making any law "respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." How this somehow got switched into meaning that nothing having anything to do with religion should come within five miles of anything receiving public funding (not even just Federal funding) is more than I can figure out*, but there it is.

If the Federal government wasn't running our schools, this would be a non-issue. Even if state or local governments ran schools with no Federal funding, the First Amendment would not apply.

Hmm. Guess that pretty much covers it.

Uh oh. Like government spending, I'm beginning to realize just how much of my verbosity may be unnecessary...

*Not really. The far Left has a bitter loathing of Judeo-Christianity--probably has something to do with their parents--and they're going to be beating on this on a number of fronts forever.
