Speaking of lifeboats, the Bush family has purchased a 100,000 acre spread in Paraguay. No one knows why.

Here is one of many, many articles. This one is early on in the process, so there is an "alleged".

The ol' cowpoke (GWB) sold his ranch in Texas as soon as he was out of the Presidency. I can hear him now. "We have a saying in Paraguay, I suppose you have it in Costa Rica too, we have a saying 'Let 'em eat bread, or maybe it's cake or Spam, I don't know.'"
