The loyal opposition
<Some, like Tom Dashel from South Dakota, are praying something goes terribly wrong with the war on terror before the elections. Just so they can say, "See, I told you so, Bush is a Failure..."
I realize that Tom Daschle is the Satan-du-jour of the conservative press corps. Nevertheless, the Democrats have plenty to work with in the next election without praying for a continuation of the bloodbath that passes for political activism in the Middle East.
They have children too. They would like there to be life on the planet in the near future.
Daschle is quite fortunate in a way: thanks to rants on the right, more people know the name of one of the Senators from South Dakota. South Dakota is not usually considered so exciting.
