There remains a lot of pent-up and expended hate in the region, and the changes that will occur will be too sudden for many. The pendulum will swing high and wide for a number of years, but eventually settle where the eventual majority want it -- approx. 50-60 years from now.
There's still a lot of animosity toward the Vietnamese people -- and by people who were never even there (and King of the Hill ain't got nuthin' to do with it).
